When Orchard Park traveled to West Seneca West to take on the Indians on Tuesday night, the Quakers gave the Indians a tough matchup. Orchard Park ended up coming out of a close battle with a 57-50 victory on the road.

After West Seneca West defeated the Quakers earlier this season, the Quakers came into West Seneca looking for revenge.

The Quakers came out strong with a comfortable lead after the first quarter.

The Indians came out firing from the arc in the second quarter where they gained their first lead of the game. The Indians came out of the first half with a 25-21 lead.

WSW had a three-point lead at one time in the third quarter. That three-point lead was destroyed by the Quakers as their 13-point run gave them a 52-40 lead.

The Indians answered the huge run from the Quakers. They made it interesting late in the fourth quarter to make the score 52-48. The Indians offense offered nothing more after shortening the lead to four. The Quakers took home a 57-50 revenge win.

Senior Brad Fowler had a star performance for Orchard Park. He had a strong presence in the paint with 14 points for the Quakers. Fowler helped the team defeat a tough West Seneca West team.

“We played very well on the defense end of the floor and that fueled our offense in transition,” Fowler said after the game. “Free throws also helped a lot at the end of the game to close it out.”

The Quakers come out victorious with a 57-50 win. OP’s next game is at home Friday against Williamsville North.
