Earlier tonight, February 14th, Orchard Park faced off against Timon at Leisure Rinks. The Quakers also celebrated their Senior Night with their 8 seniors. Both teams were aggressive from the start, and the Quakers responded first with a goal by Senior Ryan Licursi which was assisted by Captain Bryson Miller early in the game. Later in the 1st, Licursi found the back of the net again from an assist from Owen Hughes. Licursi had this to say about the game. “I thought that we played well. We came out hard in the first period. We broke out of the zone well and used are d to d passing.”
To start the second, the Quakers kept their foot on the gas, with a nice back door goal from Jayden Balcarczyk assisted by Bret Rokitka and Michael Robertson. As the 2nd period continued, the Quakers kept their foot on the gas with a goal from Owen Hughes which was assisted by Bryson Miller and Carson Senfield. As the Quakers advanced their lead to 4-0, the 2nd period was finished.
To start the 3rd, both sides were still playing aggressive and both offenses were shut down by better defense. However, the Tigers made the score 4-1 with a goal from Ben Juliano, assisted by Sean McCarthy and Jake Reid. To end the 3rd, both sides continued to play hard, and the final was 4-1 Orchard Park
